I’ve been unemployed for a while now, and I’ve noticed a significant drop in recruiter messages on LinkedIn. Back in 2021-2022, I was applying to jobs almost daily, but I eventually burned out from the process. Fast forward to 2024, I was still getting a decent number of messages from recruiters, but it started to slow down in 2025. This year, I’ve only received three messages from recruiters. I think it’s a combination of my long-term unemployment and my own reduced job search efforts. Right now, I’m focusing on side hustles and working on some personal projects to keep myself engaged.
