I recently received a shocking notice from the unemployment office claiming that I was overpaid by $3500 and that I made over six figures last year. This is completely false. A few weeks before the fall semester started, I was laid off from my full-time job, but I was still working part-time as a server at a burger joint on weekends and occasionally during the week.
