I just got laid off tonight from my position due to budget cuts. It all happened so suddenly; I received a phone call from HR two hours after the workday ended, and they informed me that today was my last day. This news hit me like a gut punch because I had finally found a job that I loved and was passionate about. I had fought hard during the interview process to secure this role and had dedicated myself fully to it. To make matters worse, they won’t even allow me to return to the office to collect my belongings. It's a tough situation, and I'm still processing everything.
