    Applied to a Job Feeling Got a Job Thinking

    I just landed my first job after an intense three-month job search right out of high school! This was my third interview, and I couldn't be happier. I've always wanted to be a server, but my initial applications for cashier, barista, and host positions didn't pan out. It took over two months before I finally got my first interview, which was for a barista role. The second was for a host position, and then I finally interviewed for a server role, which is what I really wanted. Thankfully, I was accepted! I can't help but wonder if I was the only one who applied since the place seemed to be urgently hiring. Unlike my previous interviews, which felt busy and chaotic, this one was super chill, and they called me back just a week later. I'm excited to start this new chapter!

    Applied to a Job Feeling Planning Thinking

    I'm 18 and just graduated high school 2 and a half months ago. After sending out around 200 applications, I finally landed my first official interview, but it was a frustrating experience due to poor management. I was rescheduled without any communication, and ultimately, I didn't get the job, which was for minimum wage. I have another interview lined up in a few hours for another minimum wage position, around $16/hr. Finding jobs that fit my schedule and location has been tough, so I know this search could drag on if I don't get this one either. Even though a part-time minimum wage job won't cover much, it's better than nothing and hopefully just temporary.
