I’ve been feeling really down lately as I try to kickstart my career after a significant gap in my employment. The job market feels incredibly tough right now, and the competition is fierce. It’s been about four years of challenging conditions, and I’m starting to wonder when things will improve. I’ve read that historically, these rough patches last around four to five years, so maybe we’re nearing the end? I’m also aware that technological changes can impact job availability, like how the internet transformed access to information without eliminating jobs. I’m hoping that the current discussions around AI won’t lead to mass job losses as some predict. I’m just trying to navigate this tough landscape and find my footing.
