Today was tough. I cried because I didn’t get the job I really wanted. The rejection stings, especially since I’ve been applying to so many positions and facing cold responses from hiring managers. It feels like I’m stuck while everyone around me is moving forward with their careers. I’m in my 20s, and not having a job is really weighing on me. I keep trying to stay hopeful, but as the year comes to an end, the constant rejections are hard to bear. It’s a lonely journey, and I just want to find something that feels right.

I received a job offer for a corporate contract position two weeks ago after applying through a recruiting agency. They informed me that my background was a good fit, so I didn’t have to go through the interview process. I completed the background and referral checks a week ago and followed up to find out my start date. They mentioned it’s been slow on their end and I would know this week. It’s now Thursday, and I haven’t heard back. I’m starting to wonder if they’re ghosting me. The lack of a formal interview made the process feel odd, even though I did receive emails from the company confirming the legitimacy of the offer. I’m just anxious about the delay in communication.

I recently had a job interview where the employer asked me if I was dismissed for cause. This caught me off guard, and I wasn't sure how to respond. They then proceeded to mention what they thought the reason for my dismissal was. I need some advice on how to handle this situation moving forward. Should I clarify my side of the story, or just leave it and focus on my qualifications? Any tips on how to navigate this in future interviews would be greatly appreciated.
