I am a 30-year-old female living in Bangalore, currently seeking to switch my career after 7 years in production/application support. I am interviewing for roles as a ServiceNow QA and a Power BI Developer. Although I have theoretical knowledge in both areas, my hands-on experience is limited, making me feel like a fresher. Personally, I am more inclined towards Power BI. My main goal is to secure a job offer as soon as possible, and I'm looking for advice on which path might be more realistic and sustainable in the long run. I'm prioritizing job stability, a reasonable work-life balance, a manageable transition in the first year, and opportunities for career growth. I would appreciate any honest advice from those who have made similar career switches.
