I finally received a job offer after a long and challenging journey! I've been unemployed since December 2025, and it felt like a roller coaster of interviews with no success. My confidence took a hit as I faced numerous rejections for positions I believed I was perfect for. Thankfully, my girlfriend has been my rock throughout these past eight months, always reminding me that I am more than enough and that it's their loss for not choosing me. Today, I finished packing my lunch for tomorrow and laid out my clothes like it was the first day of school. I start my new job tomorrow with a team I genuinely liked during the interview process. They took an interest in me as a person, not just as a candidate, which made the long interview process worthwhile. To anyone struggling out there, don't give up! It can be tough, but you will find a job that suits you in due time. Remember, you are more than just your job; don’t let the job market affect your confidence. Being a person first is important, and a personality hire is still a hire. Growth can come after you start. P.S. "¿Y si, si?"

I received an email from an HR representative at a startup where I've been interviewing for the past two months. I've gone through three interviews, including a panel interview, and during my last conversation, I received a verbal offer indicating that the next step was for HR to provide a formal offer. However, that was two weeks ago, and I've been following up weekly for updates. Today, HR informed me that they are having a meeting on Thursday to discuss my interviews and that there has been some back and forth regarding the role's scope. I'm feeling uncertain about my status, especially since I want to clarify whether I still have the verbal offer and what their plans are for the role. I want to ask for more details without coming off as impatient or irritated. They mentioned that I would receive an update by the end of the week, but I can't help but wonder if that means the role is no longer available or if they are considering a more lucrative offer with additional responsibilities for me. I'm seeking advice on how to approach this conversation.
