I’m currently a university student looking to break into the biomedical engineering field, specifically in ophthalmology and medtech. I’ve been applying for various positions but haven’t received any callbacks yet, which is quite discouraging. I’ve been focusing on refining my resume, but I’m unsure if it’s too cluttered or lacking in white space. I also have a fundraiser initiative listed, but I'm contemplating whether to keep it or remove it to make more room. I've reached out via emails and applied to multiple postings, but so far, I haven't had any luck. I'm considering advice on how to improve my resume and possibly streamline my job experiences to make it more appealing to potential employers.

I recently had an interview for a marketing position at a tech startup, but I feel like I performed poorly due to an unexpected personal crisis that happened just before the interview. I was really stressed and distracted, which affected my ability to answer questions clearly. Now I'm worried about how this might impact my chances of getting the job. I'm considering reaching out to the interviewer to explain the situation, but I'm unsure if that would be appropriate or if it would come off as making excuses. Any advice on how to handle this would be greatly appreciated.
