I came across a job listing that seemed legitimate at first, but I started to have doubts. I did a quick Google search on the company name and found several different businesses using that name, which raised a red flag for me. The comments I received from others suggested that it might be a scam, especially since the salary offered was significantly higher than the typical range of $15-25 per hour for similar roles. Additionally, the job description was vague, particularly regarding the sales duties expected. I'm trying to be cautious in my job search and avoid any potential scams.

I finally took the leap and applied for a new job! I have an interview scheduled for Monday, and I'm hopeful that after the background check, I’ll soon be starting a new chapter. My current role at a hotel has been mostly great, but the constant face-to-face interactions for over two years have really taken a toll on my mental health. I’ve been struggling with anxiety and sleepless nights, even on my days off. The new position will be in cleaning, which I know will be more physically demanding than my current desk job, but it only requires four hours of work in the evenings, five days a week. This means less direct interaction with people, which I think will really help my anxiety. I’m fortunate to be in a position where I can accept a pay cut since I live at home with my mother. I’ll be making about $800 every two weeks, totaling $1600 a month after taxes. Here’s to hoping for a positive change!

I've been feeling really overwhelmed at my current job, and it's taking a toll on my mental health. I'm desperate to switch roles but I'm unsure about the legitimacy of some job postings I've come across. I've seen comments suggesting that many of these gigs might not be worth it, with some people warning that they could be scams or just not provide enough stability. I've also heard from others in the data annotation field that while some opportunities are legit, they can be project-based with no guarantee of consistent work and require a lot of attention to detail. It's frustrating to think about training AI models that could potentially replace jobs like mine. I'm trying to navigate this job search while managing my mental health, and it's been a challenging experience.
