I'm currently a software engineer at a large tech company, and I'm feeling incredibly overwhelmed. After four years with the company, my entire team was laid off due to a restructuring, and I was reassigned to a different team. Unfortunately, this new team lacks the resources I need to get up to speed with their product, so I'm left trying to navigate a massive code base one task at a time. Lately, the stress has been unbearable—I've been assigned last-minute projects with tight deadlines, and I'm currently juggling four different tasks, including managing some frustrated clients. The workload has been so heavy that I've been struggling to sleep for the past few nights and feeling exhausted throughout the day. I'm really at a loss for what to do next and would appreciate any advice on how to manage this stress.
