I recently experienced a frustrating situation where a job offer was rescinded after I had gone through three rounds of interviews for what I thought was an amazing opportunity. The company had checked my references, and I was ready to sign the offer when I decided to negotiate the salary slightly. After I brought this up, they mentioned they would need to check with upper management. Unfortunately, shortly after, they pulled the offer altogether. I'm really taken aback by this experience and wondering if others have faced something similar. It feels like a harsh lesson in the current job market.
