Applied at UNICEF Canada for internship

I recently interviewed for an internship position with UNICEF Canada on July 30th. I was told I would hear back by the following Tuesday, but when that day came and went without any communication, I decided to follow up. I reached out again the next Thursday, but still got no response. Last week, I called the recruiter, who seemed surprised to hear from me, indicating they likely didn't receive my previous emails. They mentioned that the HR manager was on vacation and promised to update me by the end of that week. Yet, again, I heard nothing. I sent one last email, but I can't shake the feeling that leading me on like this is incredibly disrespectful. I made a point to interview despite being six hours ahead and missing a course for this opportunity. If I didn't get the position, I would appreciate a straightforward answer instead of this silence. It's frustrating and feels unprofessional.

I sent one last email, but I’m starting to feel like I was led on without any consideration for my time or effort. I even adjusted my schedule and missed a class to accommodate the interview, and I believe I deserve at least a straightforward answer, whether I got the position or not. This whole experience has felt extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.
