I've been living in Dubai for over a decade, working in digital marketing with a strong background in agency leadership, performance marketing, and team management. I've collaborated with major brands like L’Oréal and GSK. For the past five months, I've been searching for new opportunities here, but I haven't had much luck. I'm considering relocating to Europe, specifically Ireland or the Netherlands, and I'm seeking advice from professionals in those markets. I'm curious about the current demand for senior digital and performance marketing roles in these countries. I'm also interested in knowing which companies are more likely to hire candidates who are relocating from the UAE and how realistic sponsorship would be for someone with my experience. Additionally, I want to know if it's better to secure a job while still in Dubai or if being physically present in the country would significantly boost my chances. Lastly, I'd appreciate any insights on specific industries or roles I should focus on based on my background. I'm looking for genuine advice from those who have navigated this process or are involved in recruiting in these regions.

I've been struggling to find a decent job lately. The economy seems to be in such a bad state that all I'm receiving are scam job offers, which is incredibly frustrating. I would be interested in some positions, but I really value having an hour for lunch breaks, which seems to be a rarity these days. I've also seen some advice suggesting that I should check Indeed for job postings and then verify those listings on the company's website before applying directly. I think I might give that a try.

I applied for a restaurant job last Tuesday and completed a pre-interview video. However, I felt really awkward during the recording and struggled with the time limits. Last night, I couldn't shake off the feeling of embarrassment and regret because I know I wasn't prepared enough. I'm seriously considering reapplying and recording a new video, but I'm unsure if that's a weird move. There's a chance they might not even be hiring anymore, which adds to my anxiety. Part of me thinks I should just go in person to hand in my resume, but I've never done that before, and it makes me really nervous.

I finally received a job offer after months of searching, but it's only $10.50 an hour at Wendy's. This feels so disheartening, as it's the best offer I've gotten so far, and it's the only one that came through. The store manager asked about my fast food experience, and since I had none, I was at her mercy. I mentioned that I was used to making $14-$15 from my previous retail job, but she told me the pay here was $10.50. After three months of relentless job hunting, I feel like I have no choice but to accept it. I've applied everywhere in fast food and retail, and this was the only response I got. It's frustrating to think about how hard I had to work just to land this low-paying job. Sometimes I can't help but wonder if this is a glimpse into the struggles of 2008. It’s tough out here.

I'm feeling uncertain about my job search right now. I've been applying to various positions, but I'm starting to wonder if I'll actually land a job anytime soon. I've tailored my resume and cover letters, but the waiting is tough. I'm hoping to get some feedback or encouragement from others who have been in a similar situation.

I recently graduated and I'm currently navigating the job market. I've been feeling a lot of guilt about the possibility of taking a job that doesn't truly interest me just for the sake of financial security. On one hand, I could accept a position that pays the bills, but on the other hand, I'm holding out hope that I might hear back from some of the roles I've applied for. The thought of taking a job and then having to leave it if something better comes along weighs heavily on my mind. I really don’t want to burn any bridges, but the uncertainty of being unemployed is also daunting.

I recently interviewed for the Associate Customer Service Representative position at Liberty Mutual on July 28th. During the interview, I was informed that I would hear back within 2–3 weeks regarding the hiring decision. Now, three weeks have passed, and I haven't received any updates. My application status still shows as under consideration. I've reached out to my recruiter but haven't received a response. I'm feeling anxious about the waiting period and can't help but think that I might not have been selected. I'm hoping to hear from others who have gone through Liberty Mutual's hiring process—how long did it take for you to get feedback after your interview? I'm really looking for a stable job and have heard great things about the company.

I started a new job three weeks ago after losing my previous position in May. I quickly found this current role in June, but the salary is significantly lower than what I’m used to. I’m actively interviewing for a new position that offers $30k more than my current salary. To keep things simple, I’m pretending to be unemployed during these interviews. However, I’m starting to feel anxious about the possibility of my current employer being discovered during a background check if I land the new job. My plan was to use this current role as a temporary bridge until I find something more suitable, and I don’t want to list this job on my resume. I’m looking for advice on whether it’s possible for the new employer to find out that I’m currently employed.

I recently started a new job as a marketing associate at a small tech company, and I've been there for about four months now. Today, I received an incredible job offer from a larger company that I really want to accept, but they want me to start next Monday. This leaves me in a tough spot since I can't even give a full two weeks' notice at my current job. I'm feeling really anxious about how to approach my manager about resigning. I know I need to handle this delicately, but I'm not sure how to communicate my decision. I've considered asking the new company for a delayed start date so I can give proper notice, but I'm worried about how that might affect my chances with them. Any advice on how to navigate this situation would be greatly appreciated.

I’m 24 and currently working in apartment maintenance in Dallas, Texas, earning $23/hr. I've been in jobs that require me to work outside or in hot warehouses since I was 13, and I’m really tired of sweating all day. I have a high school diploma and a Universal EPA certification, but I’m looking for opportunities that would allow me to work indoors, ideally in an office environment, while maintaining or increasing my current pay rate. I’m curious if anyone has suggestions for jobs where I have a good chance of being hired, given my experience and certifications. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I have been working as a Housekeeping Manager in a 4-star hotel in Sharjah, UAE, for the past 17 years, and my current salary is AED 8,500 per month. My company provides food and accommodation since I chose to live out. I'm trying to figure out if I'm underpaid for my experience and position. I'm also considering a move to Europe but I don't have a work permit or visa, which I know complicates job hunting. I'm looking for insights on whether AED 8,500 is low for my role, which European countries might be more suitable for my background, and how challenging it is to secure a hotel job with visa sponsorship. Additionally, I want to know if my extensive experience in the UAE will be beneficial when applying for positions in Europe and whether I should target hotels directly, recruitment agencies, or both. Any advice from those familiar with the hospitality industry in the UAE or Europe would be greatly appreciated.

I had a promising opportunity for a sales position at a retail store last week. After two interviews, the general manager expressed that I would be a good fit for the team and mentioned that he would be sending me a job offer soon, pending the decision on which sales department I would be placed in. I felt optimistic and excited about the prospect. However, I woke up today to an email informing me that they have decided to move forward without me. It was incredibly disappointing to go from thinking I had a job lined up to being rejected.

I recently accepted a job offer at a foreign trade company, and I'm currently in the probationary period. My role involves sales, but I'm feeling overwhelmed and unsure if I can handle it. Unlike my previous job, this one is quite stressful, even though I don't have any KPIs to meet yet. I'm not naturally inclined towards selling, which adds to my anxiety. I'm contemplating whether I should just leave the position, but I'm also aware that finding another job could be really challenging given my lack of skills and experience. I'm torn between giving it a try and the fear of it being the wrong choice.

I am currently working as an account manager at a small shipping company with only five employees. Unfortunately, the company is struggling, and I was brought on board with the hope that I could help improve the situation. However, as I near the end of my probationary period, I'm facing a tough decision about whether to leave, especially since I don't have another job lined up. I've been dealing with two very challenging colleagues who refuse to take responsibility for their mistakes and often throw others under the bus, including me. In just two months, I've been in situations where I've felt completely unsupported and unfairly blamed. It's become overwhelming, and I recently called in sick because I just can't handle it anymore. At 26 years old, this is already my third job this year where I've encountered significant issues, and I'm starting to reflect on my choices. I realize I might be too quick to accept positions without fully considering my motivations and the work environment. Right now, I'm feeling lost and desperate for advice on how to navigate this situation. Should I stick it out for the income or prioritize my mental health and consider leaving?

I'm currently working as a Senior HR Business Partner in New York City, but I'm really looking to get out of here. I've been in this role since March, and while the salary is okay, the benefits are lacking and I'm just not enjoying it. Before landing this job, I spent 11 months searching for a new role, so I took this position out of necessity. Now, I'm feeling quite deflated and uncertain about my future. I'm considering whether to keep looking for better opportunities in NYC or to broaden my search and relocate. I'm open to moving anywhere since I'm single and live alone, which gives me the flexibility to explore new locations. I'm curious about the job market in other areas and any tips on how to successfully land a job that would allow for relocation.

I recently applied for a position at Extensya in Jordan and went through a rigorous process. I passed the initial exam and have had multiple interviews with different teams. Just four days ago, I received a call congratulating me on getting the job. I spoke with my team leader, who assured me everything was set and that I would receive a call within 1-3 days for training. However, today I got another call stating they are still looking for teams for me. This has left me extremely confused and questioning the professionalism of their communication. Is this kind of back-and-forth normal in the hiring process? I'm starting to wonder if this is a blessing in disguise.

I just landed my first job after being fired! I'm really excited to start my new role at a grocery store. It was a tough journey— I applied to nearly 350 jobs, and only two companies followed up with me. I had to work up the courage to call the grocery store twice to set up my interview and follow up on my onboarding, which is happening tomorrow. I'm feeling a mix of nerves and excitement! I wish luck to everyone still searching for jobs. If anyone has tips on how to work smarter and potentially secure more hours or positions, I'd love to hear them!

I'm currently working as a sales assistant at a UK supermarket chain, where I've been for nearly five years. Recently, I've been struggling with my mental health, especially after being diagnosed with autism. Although I've had a supportive boss who accommodates my needs, the job itself has become overwhelming, leading to burnout. The toxic environment created by some coworkers has made things worse, and I often find myself in tears over the stress. I've considered quitting multiple times, but my Nan has urged me to stay since I don't have another job lined up. However, I feel like I can't handle the drama and pressure anymore. I do receive benefits that allow me to live comfortably even if I quit, but I'm worried about the stigma of leaving a job without a backup plan and how my family might react. I'm at a crossroads, wondering if it would be wrong to prioritize my mental health and leave this job.

I recently graduated from form 6 and started my first job just over two months ago. Unfortunately, I absolutely hate it. The lack of experience has made it really tough to adjust, and my manager is quite difficult to work with, which has led to a lot of anxiety. I'm considering quitting, but I'm facing several challenges: I don't have another job lined up, I didn't apply to university due to financial constraints, and I don't have a vehicle, limiting my job options outside my area. The job market is tough right now, and I'm worried that if I quit without a plan, I'll feel useless. I'm really at a loss and would appreciate any advice on how to navigate this situation.

I had an interview for a position on July 30th and was told I would hear back by the following Tuesday. When I didn't receive any response, I followed up the next Thursday but still got nothing. Last week, I decided to call the recruiter, and they seemed surprised I hadn't heard back, which made me think my previous email might not have been received. They mentioned that the HR manager was on vacation and promised to update me that week. Now it's Monday and I still haven't heard anything. I'm considering sending one more follow-up, but I'm unsure if it's worth it since they already know I'm interested. Should I reach out again?
